CAREERS
We're a small, specialist tutoring team working with KS2 children in Brackley, Buckingham and the surrounding area. We're growing and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.
If you're an experienced KS2 teacher or tutor who loves working one-to-one, genuinely connects with primary-age children and wants flexible evening work that fits around your life, read on.
What the role actually looks like
No two sessions are the same. One evening you're rebuilding confidence with a child who's disengaged, the next you're making fractions make sense through football scores or getting a reluctant reader hooked because you found a comprehension angle through Minecraft or whatever they're obsessed with that week.
One-to-one tutoring gives you something classroom teaching rarely can - undivided time with one child. You'll work with KS2 children aged 7–11 in Brackley or Buckingham on weekday evenings. Your families, your sessions, your call. We handle the admin, you do the teaching.
Who we're looking for
At least 3 years' experience with KS2 children and solid confidence in both maths and English are a given. But the right person for this role is about more than that.
You're someone children warm to quickly because you're genuinely interested in them, you know what they're into and they can tell. When a child is tired or distracted or just not getting it, you find another way in rather than pushing harder. You turn up prepared, you communicate with parents clearly and honestly and you get on with things without needing to be chased.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll need:
-
At least 3 years' experience teaching KS2 children
-
Confidence teaching both maths and English at KS2 level
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Availability between 3:30pm and 7:30pm on weekday evenings in term time - actual days and hours to be confirmed based on your schedule
-
To be based in or close to Brackley or Buckingham
What you'll get:
-
£20–25 per hour (dependent on experience) paid monthly
-
We'll match you with families for the number of hours per week that suits you
-
A clear path to more hours as demand grows
-
Branded uniform and iPad provided
-
Thorough onboarding so you're confident before your first session
-
A small team that communicates well and supports you whilst trusting your expertise
