Hi there, I’m matt

I left teaching in 2023 to focus on tutoring full time. I have always loved working with children and tutoring allows me to really tap into each child's learning style and interests to build a genuine connection with them. 

 

I have taught across all primary year groups with a focus on KS2 throughout my career, including Year 6.

I enjoy working with children 1:1 as I can tailor their learning to what they need and what they enjoy - whether that is incorporating their love of unicorns into writing activities or really challenging them with maths problem solving!

In addition to improving my student's skills, I focus on building their confidence which gives them so much more enjoyment in each subject and the ability to achieve more - whatever that looks like to them.

​

How we work and what we focus on is a combination of three things - your child's learning style, what you would like us to focus on and where I identify gaps in their knowledge. We will check in briefly after each session and in more depth every month or so.

I have a full DBS check and all relevant insurance which you are welcome to see.

Outside of teaching, I have a keen interest in sport, DIY and run an interior design studio, Ches & Co, with my partner.
