1:1 TUITION

I offer on-going tutoring on a weekly basis for children aged 7 - 11. This can be to offer support alongside school, target problem areas in maths and English or challenge your child further than school.

To get going, we'll have a call to discuss where your child needs support, their learning style and what you would like us to focus on. From there, I can put together a couple of initial sessions to identify any gaps in their knowledge and for us to get to know each other and make sure that we are the right fit.

As I learn more about your child, I can really tap into the way that they work and what they love so that I can tailor each session specifically to them and what they need to get the most out of our time together.

 

I'll plan each session on a week-by-week basis so that we build on what we have learnt before and where their skill level is so they build confidence in their learning and understanding.

I'll always give your child space to make mistakes and feel comfortable asking for help so that they can build the confidence to tackle new problems and gain independence in their learning.

​

After each session, we will briefly check in on how the hour went and what we did. Every six weeks, we'll discuss what we're working on in more depth - but you are welcome to do so at any point, either in person after session or via an arranged phone call. 

​

Every so often, I run test exercises with students to bench mark where they are with their knowledge and identify areas to work on next. This also gives a good opportunity to show the progress that has been made.

​

I provide all of the equipment required for each session including exercise books, pens/pencils and stationary plus any additional materials such as books etc. At the studio, there will also be water and squash available throughout the session.

I have a DBS and all relevant insurance which you are welcome to see upon request. 

​

Weekly tuition is available in Buckingham, Brackley and the surrounding villages. This can be in your home or from our studio in Buckingham. I run three sessions each evening of the week between 3:30pm - 7:30pm depending on the location.

​

Sessions cost £40 per hour in your home or £35 per hour from the studio which is paid at the start of each half term. For the first session, we will operate on a pay-as-you-go basis to ensure that we are the right fit.
